Ellery Park is mostly Federation semis and terraces on narrow blocks, with pockets of post-war brick and a handful of newer townhouses near the station. The streets are lined with jacarandas, which flower in late October, right in the middle of spring selling season.
Buyers here are usually upgrading from an apartment closer to the city, and they’re paying for three things: the walk to Ellery Park station, the catchment for Ellery Park Public, and the Albion Street shops. Homes within ten minutes’ walk of all three sell faster than the suburb median.
Original-condition homes still sell well, often to buyers who want to renovate to their own taste. A tidy, well-presented home almost always does better than a rushed renovation.
